North Central SARE Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program

Missouri Professional Development Program

Each year, Missouri is eligible to receive funds from the North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NCR-SARE) Professional Development Program. A Plan of Work is submitted and reviewed by the NCR-SARE Administrative Council. Funding levels are based on merit. Each year, an annual report must be submitted and a new Plan of Work submitted for each funding year.

The program was created by the 1992 Farm Bill, and defines the target audience for the professional development program as agricultural professional, including extension educators, Natural Resource Conservation Service staff, state and federal agency workers and educators in the profit and not-for-profit sectors serving the food and fiber system.
